valued and triggers a heated discussion over whether the government
should pay the Internet fee. The cost of the Internet, in some people’s
views, should be covered by individuals. Contrary to these people’s opinion
is my perspective that the government should offer the free Internet to
all citizens, due to the contributions to students and adults.
What must be prioritized is that the free Internet provided by the government,
rather than individuals, place students as beneficiaries, by encouraging students
to search for information and communicate with friends. Initially, it is on the
free Internet that students can have the access to a wide range of information.
In detail, when surfing the Internet without being charged, students are more
willing to look for references, read various books and consult experts
online; on the contrary, such a large amount of information cannot be obtained
if individuals are required to pay the Internet fee, the access to electronic data
and numerous professionals on the Internet is denied. Moreover, without paying
fees of the Internet, students are more likely to interact with others online.
To explain it further, the free Internet serves as an ideal platform for people to
encounter those from diverse occupations, backgrounds and cultures; on the
other hand, such a wide range of people from different careers and countries
will not be met if only a few are online and are required to pay the fees.
What should be equally discussing is that offering Internet access at no cost by
the government, not people themselves, benefits adults, by helping them
increase the working efficiency and relieve pressure. To begin with, never
can we ignore the significance that free Internet access enable adults to work
efficiently. Specifically, only by using free Internet will adults locate solutions
to deal with problems on search engines or seek assistance, when they are
confronted with obstacles on work, which will boost efficiency greatly, on the
other hand, they can only read print books or look for partners
offline to figure out a solution when the Internet charge fees. Additionally,
when having free Internet, adults will get more relaxed after work. To expend it
further, on the Internet, adults will relax themselves by watching movies, listening
to music, and going online shopping; however, will they enjoy these cheap or
convenient methods to release their stress if they have to spend more money on
the Internet?
Students, the future of social development, will benefit from the free Internet access
provided by the government. Adults, the foundation of social construction, will
get convenience, if the government offers free Internet access. To conclude,
only when the government offer Internet access to all of citizens at no cost,
instead of people paying for it themselves, can citizens reap maximized benefits.
