Internet will make the traditional skill of letter writing completely disappear.
In my opinion, although the traditional skill of letter writing will decline ,
it will not completely disappear. On the one hand, the traditional skill of letter
writing will decline because people have fewer chances to practice this skill.
They tend to interact with others with mobile phones and the Internet
to make communication more efficient. For example ,
a text message or an email can reach someone who is far away in a few
seconds, while it takes a letter a few days to reach its destination.
Also, users of social media can share videos with their friends, which
is more entertaining than writing letters. As a result, people do
not write letters often and their letter-writing skills will decline.
On the other hand, I believe that people will still need
to write letters on some occasions. Letters, especially handwritten ones,
have a strong personal touch.
They take more time and energy than emails or phone calls, which helps
letters to express emotions more effectively. For instance, on Valentine's Day,
many people express their love and affection with handwritten letters,
which can help them to express their feelings more passionately
than text messages and emails. Furthermore, letters are t
he preferred method of communication for many business or official purposes,
This means that people still need to write formal letters,
which gives them the opportunity to practice t
he skill of letter writing. In conclusion , although the increasing
use of mobile phones and the Internet will lead to a decline
in the skill of letter writing, I believe that it will
continue to be useful for a variety of personal and business purposes.
