Careers, the foundation of a quality life, have been valued and even triggered heated
discussions over the necessity of taking many jobs before a long-term one. In some
people’s views, employees do not need to embark on numerous occupations. Contrary
to these people’s opinions is my perspective that doing a large quantity of jobs before
a permanent one is beneficial, due to the contributions to career selection and
promotion.
What must be prioritized is that dealing with many careers, instead of taking one
long-term job, enables people to locate careers, by providing much knowledge and
helping them locate interest. To begin with, people, who take many careers, will
acquire the knowledge, needed in hunting for jobs. In detail, after embarking on
various jobs, people will obtain the expertise on how to write resume, do interviews
and search for job-hunting information; in contrast, such information about searching
for careers cannot be attained by those embarking on a permanent job directly.
Moreover, diverse jobs help people locate their interested positions. To be more
specific, by doing many careers before a long-term one, employees can discover their
favorite working modes, environment and atmosphere in workplaces, which guide
them in finding careers; on the contrary, these interests cannot be located, if
employees enter into a permanent career
What should be equally worth discussing is that young adults, by taking numerous
careers, not stepping into a permanent career, can reap and harvest benefits from
various careers in terms of promotion. To begin with, it is embarking on many
occupations before that hones their skills. To explain it further, after experiencing and
embarking on various occupations, one may cultivate their time-management skills
and stress-decreasing skills, which are essential tactics for them to get promoted.
Moreover, in various careers before a permanent one, employees can extend their
social networks. In detail, work experiences in assorted fields introduce employees to
a wide range of people, including supervisors, colleagues and clients; on the other
hand, hardly will employees meet such a wide variety of people when they are only in
one permanent career.
Job hunting, essential for young people, will be easily achieved, when they take
different careers in advance. Promotion, significant for young people, will be
facilitated, if they choose to do various jobs before settling down. To conclude, only
via trying distinct careers in advance can one succeed in his permanent profession.
